We are going to cover two love songs today; one is a solo by Marianne with a chorus (“One Kiss”) and the other is a duet between Marianne and Robert (“Wanting You”).

Let’s start with “One Kiss.” This version is sung by Jeanette MacDonald in the 1940 movie. Few coloratura’s on the opera stage or in movies ever equaled Jeanette; one name comes to mind–Lily Pons.
