We suddenly realized that we did not have anything today from Ruth Etting and decided to add another song from the Ziegfeld Follies of 1927, the timeless W.C. Handy classic, “St. Louis Woman.” It was sung by Ruth, and we have found a video recording of her singing the song in a 1936 film. BTW, notice how the engineers were preparing to cut a record from the broadcast in the movie.
