Rodgers–DE, Act One finale

Unbeknownst to Sir John, Betsy is very much involved in helping the rebel cause. She is found out, and Sir John accuses her of having pretended to fall in love with him in order to betray his trust. She protests to no avail; for although she is a rebel through and through, she has genuinely fallen in love with Sir John Copeland.

The war and love is all in a tumble as we listen to the Finale of Act One.
