As we end the first week of sharing the songs from the operetta Eileen, we come to the Finale Act One. in which Barry and the crowd glory in the day that Ireland will be free in “Glad Triumphant Hour,” Eileen faints and is carried to safety by Barry, who just as promptly loses his heart to her, Lady Maude, Eileen’s quick witted Aunt, claims Barry to be her servant and thus thwarts his arrest by Col. Lester and all is well, at least until Act Two starts.
