We have previously written about this love duet; it is called “Thine Alone;” and every tenor and soprano has at one time or another sung this in the studio or in concert. Eileen has fallen deeply in love with Barry and finds it difficult to say goodbye–“I but fear the time will come that we must part! Alas, I should die.” With love that is greater than fear, they pledge themselves to each other: “in thine arms enfold me, my beloved.”
