Let’s wrap up the day with one of Bing’s best performances, although it is not remembered that way. The song “Temptation” is one of those songs that is hard to fit into a movie. It calls for a dramatic situation that is usually missing from movie musicals.

Bing’s ears were not his best feature; they seemed to flap in the breeze. The studio tried to use some sort of gummy substance to keep his ears pinned down, but it never really worked. After a while, Bing was so popular as a leading man that no one in the studios cared about his ears.

Bing was never a great actor, but he could put over any song. Let’s watch him sing “Temptation.”
