Now that we have seen two versions of the dance, let’s take a listen to various versions of the song, “The Black Bottom.” We are going to start with Johnny Hamp’s Kentucky Serenaders, which was released in 1926 and rose to number 3 on the charts. You will hear the banjo come through during several lulls when the full band is not playing.
