While the libretto calls for the reconciliation of Jane and Billy, there is no final love song between the two. Instead, we have a third love story on the rocks. Bub breaks up with Flora but swears that he will find a girl in a song, aptly titled, “I’m Going to Find a Girl (Someday).” It is sung by Bub and Stub (the first voice will be Max von Essen, the second will be George Dvorsky), with a chorus.
