Muskrat Ramble, Kid Ory song, played by Louis Armstrong

We are going to start another jazz session today, starting with Kid Ory’s wonderful 1926 composition, “Muskrat Ramble.” Kid Ory wrote and recorded his famous “Muskrat Ramble” in 1926, then re-recorded it at a faster tempo in 1944. The faster tempo was used by the Bobcats and Sidney Bechet, and both recordings are excellent. Instead of the Kid Ory recording in 1926, we are going to provide Louis Armstrong’s recording in the same year. The side men on this recording are so good, we just had to include it.
