Romberg–NM, Lover Come back, Jeanette

Today we are going to feature one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. It is called “Lover, Come Back to Me.”

In our first selection we are going to feature a clip that combines two parts of the 1940 film. The first part is sung by Jeanette MacDonald early in the 1940 film; then whoever uploaded the clip spliced on the reprise at the end of the movie, featuring a duet between Jeanette and Nelson Eddy.

The ending is reminiscent of “Indian Love Call” from Friml’s Rose-Marie.
