Our second and final version of “Hallelujah” comes from the 1955 movie adaptation. At the outset, we see Tony Martin lead the singing, followed by Vic Damone and Russ Tamblyn. Then the camera switches focus to the women. The lead singer is Kay Armen, a very talented performer and composer; she is surrounded by Jane Powell and Debbie Reynolds. Finally, the camera latches onto Ann Miller who taps us into the rousing finale with the entire ensemble.
