A Quick Flight to France

Giacomo Meyerbeer (1791-1864) gave us the Les Huguenots in 1836 and L’Africana (L’Africaine) in 1865 (posthumously).  He is important because his influence, balanced by that of Ludwig van Beethoven and Carl Weber, can be seen in the early works of Richard Wagner (1813-1883).  We are providing the magnificent “O Paradiso” by Enrico Caruso.
